This term will offer students the chance to choose and develop a subject, exploring it through different media/techniques.  Often when I am working on an image I deliberately try a variety of media – experimenting in this way helps me to see many creative opportunities.

Inspiration from David Prentice . . . .
Wednesday 16th May, 10.00am till 3.00pm, Fee:£30.00

I love the way artist David Prentice uses powerful colours and interprets landscapes with such drama and imagination.  His current exhibition at the John Davies Gallery, Moreton-in-Marsh runs until 19th May so it is the perfect time to take a closer look at his style and do some experimenting!

'Sustaining the person within'

Artist Kathryn Pettitt and I have just received Arts Council Funding for a very exciting project called 'Sustaining the person within'. Our aim is to take art and craft sessions to people in residential care homes and day centres and subsequently lead workshops to provide training for future leaders. A written report documenting our project will be available in the summer of 2012 and there will be a website and facebook used throughout. Kathryn and I will conclude the project with a touring exhibition starting at Solihull Arts Complex in June 2013.
